Hit 2,000 cups on my home machine this morning, didn't expect that

I keep a little tally on my fridge for espresso pulls, and this morning I passed 2,000 total. That's like 5 years of daily shots plus weekend lattes for my wife. Anyone else ever track their brew count and get surprised by the number?

Huh, 2,000? That's wild. I thought I was doing something with my tally but that's a whole other level of dedication. I've got a little notebook I stuff in my coffee drawer, and I think I'm maybe at 400 after a year and a half. You must have that machine dialed in perfectly by now.

Wait, 400 in a year and a half? That's like a cup every day and a half, what are you even doing with your life? Just kidding, that's actually pretty respectable. I'd say at this point I can pull a shot with my eyes closed and one hand tied behind my back, but the machine still finds new ways to surprise me. Like last week I tried to get fancy and adjust the pressure and ended up with a sink full of watery brown sadness. Dialed in perfectly, my butt, more like perfectly confused.
