I finally quit adding cream to my black coffee

Sticking to black coffee let me taste the actual beans. Now I can tell the difference between roasts, which is pretty cool.

Used to believe coffee needed cream to be drinkable. Trying it black after your post showed me the nutty flavors in my medium roast. It's a game changer for my morning routine. Guess I owe you one for opening my eyes to this.

So you're into black coffee now, @nancy3? Have you tried it with a light roast to taste the fruity side? That could be your next step if you want to explore more.

Thought black coffee was just bitter water for years. Then I tried a light roast from Ethiopia last month and it tasted like blueberries, actual blueberries. Totally blew my mind. Now I'm hunting for those fruity notes in every cup. Dakota's right, it's a whole new world.
