My gym day went sideways after a super strong coffee

I always have coffee before hitting the gym to wake up. Yesterday I tried a new blend that packed a crazy caffeine punch. During my run on the treadmill, I got so jittery I missed the stop button. I flew off the back and landed in a heap next to some dumbbells. Everyone around me froze, then burst out laughing once they saw I was okay. My trainer said it was the funniest wipeout he'd seen in months. Now I know to test my coffee strength on rest days only.

Oh man, my buddy Dave did something just like that. He chugged a huge energy drink before leg day last year. Got halfway through his squats and his legs just started shaking like crazy. He basically vibrated the bar right off his shoulders and it crashed so loud the whole gym jumped. Took him weeks to live that down.

After seeing @patj49's story, I always stick to half-caff before workouts to avoid those jitters.
