Turns out, making cold brew taught me more than I expected
I tried making cold brew at home a while back. I put coarse ground coffee in a jar with cold water and left it in the fridge. The instructions said to wait 24 hours before filtering it out. That day of waiting felt really long because I usually just make quick drip coffee. But when I took my first sip, the taste was so rich and not bitter at all. It showed me that slowing down can make a big difference in flavor. Now I set it up the night before and look forward to it all day. What coffee method makes you wait the longest?

I read about Kyoto-style cold drip coffee once. It uses this glass tower thing where water drips through coffee grounds really slowly. The whole process can take like 8 to 12 hours, way longer than my usual French press. Makes that 24-hour cold brew seem quick in comparison.

From articles, siphon coffee brewers with vapor pressure take about 15 minutes to make. That's shorter than cold brew, but it demands your full attention during the brew. Isn't the waiting part what makes some methods special?
