My sister couldn't read the menu at a diner in Boise because of the colors they used.
We were at a place called The Griddle last weekend for breakfast. The menu was printed with a dark green background and brown text. My sister has some vision trouble and she just handed it back to me and said, 'I can't make out a single word.' I had to read the whole thing out loud to her. It made the whole meal awkward and slow. Has anyone else run into a public place with a menu this bad?

Wow, that sounds so frustrating! Was it just the color combo, or was the font also really small or fancy? Some places seem to design menus as art pieces instead of something people actually need to read.

Right? Why do they always pick the worst lighting too, like some dim moody vibe that makes it impossible to see anything. It's like they want you to just guess or order the most expensive thing by default. At that point I just pull out my phone flashlight, zero shame.
