TIL my 'vintage aesthetic' website was basically invisible

I mean, I thought the pale yellow text on cream looked cool, but my analytics showed a 90% bounce rate in the first week. Had to pay a developer $200 to redo the whole color scheme. Anyone else get carried away with a theme and forget people actually need to read it?

Switched to dark mode and it saved my eyes. High contrast is key for readability.
