TIL my 'vintage aesthetic' website was basically invisible
I mean, I thought the pale yellow text on cream looked cool, but my analytics showed a 90% bounce rate in the first week. Had to pay a developer $200 to redo the whole color scheme. Anyone else get carried away with a theme and forget people actually need to read it?

Switched to dark mode and it saved my eyes. High contrast is key for readability.

It's wild how many apps and sites still use terrible color combos. Feels like basic design gets ignored for flashy features.
