Took 3 weeks to admit my yellow text on white was useless

I kept tweaking a poster for a local farmers market in Dayton, and every version used that sunny yellow because it looked nice on my monitor. Then I printed one copy and stood back 10 feet, could not read a single word on the white background. How do you get clients to see contrast issues when they only look at files on their phone?

Every corner of life is full of this now, like grocery store signs with light gray text on white that vanish from 20 feet away. People stare at screens all day and forget real eyes see things from a distance.
