My website looked fine on my monitor but clients saw different colors entirely. Had to redo 40 pages last week.

I built out a whole brand palette. Picked warm greens and soft blues. Looked perfect on my screen at home. But three clients said the greens looked muddy and the blues were gray. Turns out my monitor was badly calibrated. Has anyone else had a color profile mismatch ruin a project like that?

Ngl I had this exact thing happen with an LG Ultrafine a few years back. I run a quick test now where I pull up a color checker image and compare it to my phone screen just to spot big differences before I start anything serious. Also worth noting that macOS color profiles can shift things if you don't stick to sRGB IEC61966-2.1 manually. That muddy green thing is usually a gamma issue from the monitor being too warm out of the box.

Can't believe you did 40 pages before catching that! What monitor were you using that was that far off?
