My color theory experiment for a local band's poster backfired (apparently neon yellow on black is hard to read from a distance).

Actually had a lot of success with that exact combo for a club flyer last year. The trick is using a really bold, simple font and avoiding any thin lines. From across a dark room it really popped and got people's attention.

Ouch, neon on black is a known issue from a distance in my experience. What was the thinking behind picking that combo?
