Rant: I spent a full hour picking between two blues for a button
My client in Boise wanted a 'trustworthy' call-to-action, so I was stuck between a deep navy (#0A2463) and a brighter cobalt (#0047AB). I went with the cobalt, but on their site's dark gray background, it just looked flat and kind of cheap. Has anyone else had a color look perfect in your mockup but totally wrong in the final spot?

Oh man, that reminds me of the time a client's "vibrant orange" logo printed on corrugated boxes looking straight up puke-colored.

But is a puke-colored logo really the end of the world? It's just a box, right? Most people are gonna tear it open and toss it. The client might be upset but the product inside is what actually matters. Seems like we're getting worked up over something pretty small in the grand scheme of things.

How many times did the client have to approve that color?
