Appreciation post: Switched to a new comms mask for a month and the difference is wild

I was using my old Kirby Morgan for years, but the comms were always a bit fuzzy. Last month I got a new OTS Guardian mask for a job in the Gulf. The audio is so clear now, I can actually hear the topside guy chewing gum, lol. It made a huge difference on a recent pipeline survey where we had to relay a bunch of measurements. Anyone else made a gear switch recently that just made everything easier?

Ever notice how much better gear just makes the whole job feel less like a grind? Good comms probably cut your mental load in half on that survey. It's wild how one upgrade can change your whole outlook.

Remember my buddy's old field laptop that took ten minutes to boot. He got a new tablet last month and now he's done before lunch. It's like watching a different person work.
