Just got back from a job at the old Port of Tacoma docks and saw something I've never seen before.
We were doing a hull clean on a small cargo ship and I spotted a huge, perfectly round steel plate, maybe 10 feet across, just sitting on the bottom near the pilings. It looked like a manhole cover from a giant's city, all covered in barnacles but not rusted through. Has anyone else ever found weird, big pieces of metal like that just chilling on a job site, and do you ever report them or just work around them?
