Rant: Everyone says Kirby Morgan helmets are bulletproof but mine failed me last month
On a job off New Bedford harbor, my MK-17 started free-flowing during a weld inspection at 40 feet. I had less than 30 seconds to switch to my bailout. The guys on the boat said I must have bumped the knob, but I've been careful with this gear for two years. I think the valve just stuck. Anyone else had a reg fail on a Morgan like that?

Honestly, that's sketchy as hell. Same thing happened to me on a MK-18 last year during a routine bottom survey, valve just locked up out of nowhere and I was scrambling for the bailout valve. Tbh I think Morgan's QC has slipped or something, because I've heard of a few other guys with similar issues lately.
