Spent $800 on a heated vest for winter harbor work and it's a total game changer
I got the Damen Diving one after a buddy said it was worth it. Working in Boston harbor last month, the water was 38 degrees and I stayed warm for a full 4 hour shift. My hands didn't get stiff, so I could actually work the tools right. What's the best cold water gear you guys have bought?

Hell yeah, that's money well spent. Good gloves are the next big upgrade, get the ones with the removable liners. Makes a huge difference when you need to dry them out between shifts.

You mentioned your hands not getting stiff, and that's the real win. A lot of guys focus on core warmth but forget that being able to move your fingers safely is its own kind of gear. It changes how you plan your work when you aren't fighting to hold a wrench. That vest sounds like it fixed the root problem instead of just adding another layer.
