Warning: swapping power supplies without checking the 24 pin pinout cost me a customer's motherboard
Back in March I was doing a rush rebuild for a dental office in Tacoma and grabbed a spare PSU off the shelf without checking the pinout first. It powered on, posted, and then cooked the board in about 90 seconds because two of the rails were wired backwards from the factory. Now I ohm out every 24 pin connector before it touches a build, even when it's a pull from a working machine. Anyone else get burned by assuming ATX is always ATX?

That's rough, man. Losing a board on a job like that would eat at me for weeks. I check pinouts now too after seeing a buddy fry a board with a "known good" pull, it's cheap insurance.
