PSA: Had a big pour go sideways in a tight alley in Pittsburgh last week...

The chute got stuck on a fire escape and we lost about 20 minutes of good work time. We had to hand-shovel the last two yards into the forms before it started to set up. Has anyone else had to deal with a bad chute setup in a tight city spot?

Those tight city spots are the worst for that kind of thing (makes you want to bring a spare chute just in case).

Tight spots really do make you plan for the worst, don't they? What kind of situation were you dealing with, @thompson.xena? Parking in those narrow city garages always has me folding my mirrors in. Feels like you need a spotter just to avoid scraping the walls.

Wait, you actually fold your mirrors in every time? I just white-knuckle it and pray I don't hear that awful scraping sound. My heart rate goes through the roof in those places.
