Am I the only one who labeled a door wrong at a Cleveland punch walk and it cost me 4 hours
So we were wrapping up a 22 unit apartment rehab near West 25th in Cleveland and the punch walk was set for 8am. I had labeled unit 3B wrong on my own unit map, wrote 3B where 3A should have been, so the whole crew trimmed out the wrong kitchen. Nobody caught it until the super walked 3A and found a brand new cabinet run in a unit that was supposed to be demoed that week. We had to pull 14 cabinets back out and patch the drywall, which ate 4 hours and about $600 in labor. Now I print two copies of the floor plan and tape one to the actual door before anyone touches a tool. Does anyone else have a trick for keeping unit numbers straight when you are running 20 plus doors at once?
