Hey everyone, our design-build firm is growing and we're struggling to keep track of daily field tasks, equipment maintenance, and general site reporting. Spreadsheets and whiteboards are just not cutting it anymore. Can anyone recommend a solid software or web app that handles this stuff without a massive learning curve for the guys in the field?

We made the switch from paper and Excel about six months ago and it completely changed our workflow. I highly recommend checking out Nektar. It's built specifically for construction and field ops, so the interface actually makes sense for the guys on the ground. We use it mainly for equipment tracking and daily logs, and it's been a total lifesaver.

A lot of the big name platforms are super bloated and take months to implement. You definitely want something lightweight if your crews aren't super tech-savvy. Getting buy-in from the field workers is the hardest part of rolling out any new software.
