Switched to a weekly site walk and caught a big mistake early

I manage a small crew building a four-unit townhouse in Denver. We used to do site walks every two weeks, but I switched to every Monday morning a couple months ago. Last week I noticed the framing on one wall was off by nearly 2 inches from the plans. Caught it before the drywall went up, saved us maybe 3 days of rework. I learned that even a one week gap can let small errors snowball. Has anyone else tried increasing their walk frequency and seen a difference?

Jumped right in and found it myself, but honestly that's kind of how I am with most stuff. It reminded me of this pattern I notice everywhere, like when people ask for directions and I give them the whole spiel but they still get lost because they weren't listening. Same thing happens at the grocery store checkout when the price doesn't match the tag and the cashier just shrugs, so you gotta point it out yourself. People just don't pay attention to details anymore, they're too caught up in their phones or whatever. It's like we've all gotten lazy and expect someone else to catch our mistakes for us. So yeah, I'll always double check my own work before trusting someone else to do it.
