Showerthought: my neighbor's dog locked me out of my own container build for 40 minutes
I was up on a ladder in Waco last Saturday trimming foam board around the door frame when my neighbor's lab, Biscuit, wandered into the container and stepped on the interior latch bar. The door swung shut and locked from the inside, so there I am stuck on a ladder at 8am yelling at a dog who just wagged at me through the window. I tried reaching the latch with a paint roller extension but it kept slipping, and my phone was inside on the floor next to my coffee. After about 40 minutes of poking a stick through the vent slot I finally hooked the bar and got it open, and Biscuit walked out like he owned the place. Now every latch on that build has a zip tie guard and I keep a spare key in a magnetic box under the trailer. Anyone else had an animal accidentally lock something on a build, or am I the only one losing to a dog on my own job site?
