Steel vs aluminum frame debate ended for me after that August storm

I was all set to go with aluminum for my container build. Lighter, no rust worries, all that. Then we got hit with that derecho back in August that ripped through here. My buddy's aluminum framed porch addition got twisted like a pretzel. Three grand in materials bent in 20 minutes. My steel framed shed didn't budge. That was it for me. Anyone else have a weather event change their material choice?

Did you see that video from Texas where a hailstorm wrecked an aluminum boat shed?

and then the whole thing just folded like a cheap tent... it was wild watching it crumple in slow motion. i figure aluminum sheds are pretty tough but those hailstones were bigger than golf balls from what i saw. the guy who filmed it was probably just standing there in shock while his boat got pounded. makes you wonder if there's any point in putting up a shed at all when nature decides to go full force like that.
