Can we talk about the 20 minute consult that saved a 3 hour color correction?
Last Tuesday at my chair in Tucson, a new client came in wanting to go from a box dye black to platinum in one visit. I almost just started mixing, but I made myself sit down and do a real strand test first, and the hair snapped in 4 seconds flat. So instead of frying her hair, I talked her into a 3 visit plan with a bond builder in between, and she actually thanked me for being straight with her. How do you all handle the clients who want it all in one sitting without losing them to someone who will just say yes?
Ever tried quoting them the full price for the one visit plan with a no refund policy if the hair breaks off? That usually slows them down real quick, and if it doesn't, they weren't gonna be happy anyway. The ones who walk are the ones who were never gonna trust your plan to begin with, so let them go.
