Spent $200 on that fancy bond builder and it did nothing for my clients

I bought into the hype on that Olaplex knockoff last spring and stocked up for my chair. After 3 months of using it on 15 different clients with damaged hair, I saw zero improvement in breakage or shine. One of my regulars actually said her hair felt worse after treatments. I went back to my old protein mask routine and everyone's happy again. Anyone else get burned by a trendy product that just didn't deliver?

Ngl, I gotta push back here. That bond builder totally saved my hair after I bleached it three times in one month. Maybe the issue is that your clients had buildup or product overload already on their hair. If you just slap bond repair on top of old silicones and waxes, nothing's gonna work. Also, some of those treatments need heat activation to actually do anything, did you follow the instructions exactly? I think a lot of stylists skip steps and then blame the product.
