TIL a 12 week lash fill schedule fixed my sparse set, and I blamed my glue for a year
I had a client back in March with lashes so thin you could see every gap at the base, and I kept switching adhesives trying to fix it. After 12 weeks of monthly fills at 2 week intervals she came in with a full set that needed almost no fill work, and the only thing I changed was her aftercare. Turned out she was sleeping on her face and using an oil based makeup remover every night, so the bonds were breaking at the root within days of each appointment. I started asking every new lash client to send me a photo of their pillowcase and their remover bottle before the first fill, and about 6 out of 10 had the same issue. Now I do a 5 minute chat at the first appointment and hand out a cheap satin pillowcase from the dollar store. Has anyone else found the aftercare talk does more for retention than a stronger glue?
