A guy at a font meetup said he draws curves with 40 points per letter, and now I can't stop counting mine
I was at a small type meetup in Cleveland back in March and this guy mentioned he uses around 40 points for a single lowercase bowl. I looked at my own work the next day and most of my letters have maybe 8 to 12 points. His stuff did look smoother at large sizes, but at 14px on a screen I honestly can't tell the difference. Now I'm second guessing whether I'm cutting corners or just being efficient. Do you all add points for the sake of smoothness, or only where the shape actually needs it?
