Remember when we used to hand signal everything before radios took over?

I was on a site in Baton Rouge back in 2003, flagged a swing wrong because the sun was in my eyes and the spotter couldn't see me, nearly took out a scaffolding crew before I yanked the brake and jumped down to wave them off, still makes me cringe thinking about it - anyone else ever have a close call that stuck with you?

Hold up, you jumped down while the crane was still live? That's insane, I thought I was the only one who did stupid stuff like that back in the day. Glad you didn't get crushed, that could have ended way worse than just a cringe memory.

Man, how did you even get out of the cab with it still moving? Like, did you just not think or was there a reason you had to bail that quick?
