Why does nobody mention how fast rigging gets sloppy after a few rain days?
Watched the tag line crew go from 4 clean picks an hour to 2 on Tuesday after Monday's downpour soaked the Fort Worth site, and I think it's because nobody rechecks the sling angles once things get greasy, so does anyone else build in a 10 minute dry-off reset after weather like that?
We had the same thing at a site in Arlington back in April, went from 5 picks an hour down to 3 after two wet days and the slings were just greasy enough to throw off the angles. Nobody wanted to stop and recheck because the super was breathing down our necks about the schedule. A 10 minute dry-off reset sounds smart, cheaper than re-rigging a dropped load.
