Best week in a decade at the studio fell apart on Thursday

We had 3 big ad shoots lined up and clients were actually happy with the first cuts, then the AC unit died in the server room and wiped out 2 days of renders. Has anyone else had a whole project week just implode from something stupid like a power flicker?

Oh man @kai_stone99 you nailed it. I've had that exact same thing happen. One time we had a whole week of video editing going perfect, then a power surge hit the building and fried the main drive on our render server. Lost three days of color grading and effects work because the backup drive hadn't synced in four hours. The client was furious and we had to ask for an extension. Felt like punching a hole through the wall honestly. It's always the dumbest, most random stuff that kills your best weeks. Hope you can get those renders recovered somehow or at least get the clients to give you another shot.

Man that's brutal, losing renders from a stupid AC failure is exactly the kind of thing that makes you want to throw your computer out the window. Nothing kills momentum faster than gear failing at the worst possible moment. Really hope you can somehow salvage the week and get those clients back on board.
