Hit a wall on my fantasy novel until I realized I was describing every scene way too much.
A beta reader in my writers group told me they skimmed three paragraphs about a forest and that’s when I realized I was burying the plot under detail, has anyone else struggled with learning when to stop describing?

Beta readers will tell you anything... doesn't mean it's true.

Picked a trusted writer friend instead @rayc83, worked way better for me.
