I wrote 500 prompts in 90 days and number 312 is the one that broke my brain
So back in January I made this dumb deal with myself, write five prompts a day, every day, no skipping, and see what happens by April. I hit 500 total on day 91 and I sat at my kitchen table staring at my notebook like it owed me money. Here is the thing nobody warns you about. The first 100 prompts were easy because I had a lifetime of ideas saved up, and prompts 100 through 300 were a grind but a fair one. Then somewhere around number 312 I wrote a prompt so bad, so flat, so boring, that I closed the notebook and did not open it for two days. It was just 'a person finds a key.' That is it. That was the prompt. My whole system crashed on six words. I pushed through and finished the 500, but that disaster prompt taught me more about how my brain works than the other 499 put together, because it made me see I was coasting on cool images instead of real tension. Do you all have a number where your prompt streak almost died, and what did you do to get past it?
