Last week I pulled up my own app in a dark room and the sidebar text was basically invisible against the panel, so I bumped it from #777 to #ccc and everything popped. Now I'm torn, because some folks say pure light gray on near-black is harsh on the eyes while others say low contrast is just lazy and unreadable. Where do you draw the line between cozy and actually legible?
