Hot take: Vector files beat raster for most logo work by a mile
I spent a year designing logos in Photoshop for local businesses here in Phoenix, and every single one needed rework when they tried to blow it up for a banner or shrink it for a pen. Switched to Illustrator with proper vector shapes and curves last fall, and now my files export clean at any size without pixelation. Have you guys found a clear winner between vector and raster for your own projects?

Yeah so my buddy Rick ran into that exact problem with a client who wanted that worn leather sign look and he just could not nail it in vectors. @barbara_moore73 might be onto something with squinting though, I've seen him do that too when he's stuck.

Good point about banner sizes versus tiny pens. How often do you find yourself having to rebuild a raster file from scratch for a different size, or do you just try to make it work with what you got? Also vector logos sure handle scaling better but raster gives you way more texture options for like a worn leather look on a sign. Have you run into any projects where vector just wasn't cutting it and you had to switch back?
