I finally got my family to stop clicking on weird links

My grandmother fell for one of those "your package is delayed" texts last year and it was a headache getting her bank stuff sorted out. So I feel this on a personal level. Simple rules are the way to go because explaining how phishing works just makes their eyes glaze over. I added one more rule for my family: if it sounds urgent or scary, pause and ask someone first. That caught a few fake "account suspended" emails.

Got schooled on a job in Phoenix by a guy who's been finishing since the 80s

Three gallons of water in the mix. @the_gray, hold on, are you telling me he really didn't know about wetting the straightedge? That's like showing up to work without your boots on, I can't believe it. Especially in that heat, having your tools drag and stick is a nightmare, you'd be fighting the slab all day. That old timer must have felt like a real life saver stepping in with that tip, because that little trick alone probably saved them six hours of frustration.

Had a customer bring in a 1972 Canon F-1 that wouldn't advance film...

Makes you wonder why anyone bothers with digital junk really, @rowan_thomas.

I saw a DCF tent shed water worse than a $50 Coleman last weekend

Oh @emma_young, a buddy of mine had one collapse on him in a light rain last spring!

Used to plan my entire week on Sunday night and it stressed me out bad

Different strokes, I guess. A loose plan for the week lets me handle surprises without feeling like everything fell apart.
