My business card order came back with a spelling error I missed
I had a client event coming up last month and needed 500 business cards fast. I designed them in Illustrator, sent the file to a local print shop in Austin, and paid $85 for a rush order. When they showed up, every single card said 'Mangager' instead of 'Manager' in my title. I stared at my screen for 10 minutes trying to figure out how I missed it. The print shop wouldn't redo them for free since it was my file. I ended up ordering a replacement batch online for $60 but had to wait a week. Now I read every word out loud and have someone else check before I send anything to print. Anyone else have a simple typo cost them time and money?

Ha... I had a batch of business cards come back with my email address spelled wrong once. Not just one letter, but the whole domain was off by two characters. I handed them out at a networking event and someone pointed it out after like five minutes. Just sat there nodding and pretending I planned it as a conversation starter. Now I send everything to my mom first for proofreading... she catches stuff even spellcheck misses.

Is your mom available for hire? Mine just says she's proud of me and ignores the typos. That email thing is brutal but at least you turned it into a party trick.
