That premium paper sample pack I ignored for 6 months turned out to be a game changer for client proofs

After losing a $1,200 book project because my mockup photos looked flat, I finally cracked open the fancy letterpress samples from a local shop and landed two new jobs within a week using them, anyone else sit on free samples way too long before actually testing them?

Wait till you realize those samples also double as a free marketing strategy. I handed out leftover paper samples to a coffee shop for their menu redesign, and three other businesses asked who did their printing. Ended up with a brewery and two law firms as clients just from people touching that nice paper in the wild. You're probably sitting on a goldmine of referrals you haven't even considered yet.

Oh man, that's exactly what happened with me too? I tossed some leftover wedding invitation samples into a little basket at my local bakery's counter, just to get rid of them honestly. Next thing I know, the bakery owner's friend who runs a real estate agency called me wanting those same textured envelopes for her client mailers. Then the hair salon next door asked for business cards with the same soft feel. I must have gotten like four or five jobs just from people picking those samples up while waiting for their latte. It really is crazy how something so small can just sit there and work for you without any extra effort.
