Question about my bathroom tile job that went wrong last weekend

I was convinced I could lay the subway tile myself, but the thinset started setting way faster than the bag said and I had to pull half of it up. Anyone have a good trick for mixing smaller batches to avoid this?

Yeah, the thinset setting too fast is a classic DIY trap. It feels like everything from quick-dry cement to instant coffee is pushing us to rush now. We're better off taking our time with smaller, manageable batches.

You're right, @jennifere18. It's a whole mindset now. You see it with fast food, next-day shipping, and those 10-minute workout apps. Everything is sold as instant. But good results, like a tile job that lasts, need the right amount of time. Mixing small batches is smart because it fights that rush.
