A quick heads-up from my experience: If your style guide doesn't lock in font choices, brace for chaos across teams.

Three teams at my company each picked a different header font last quarter. It made our website look messy and confused our clients. Now we have one approved font family in the style guide, like Roboto or Arial. Without that, you get weird mixes like Comic Sans in reports and Times New Roman on slides. Locking it down saves so much time in reviews. It's a small fix that prevents big headaches.

But how do you even ENFORCE that? People just ignore style guides all the time.

Ever seen a document that looks like a ransom note? That was my old PowerPoint special.
