Our remote team killed our design system by not talking enough
In my experience, if you don't have regular check-ins, your design system will drift. We learned this the hard way when our components became a mess. Now we do weekly syncs to keep everyone on track.

Ever think about how much extra work gets created later because of design drift? We found our old inconsistent buttons and spacing meant every new feature had to be rebuilt from scratch instead of reused, which is why those weekly syncs save so much future pain.
