TIL a keyboard shortcut I ignored for years actually saves me 20 minutes a day
I always thought those custom shortcut plugins were overkill until a guy at the local makerspace showed me setting up one for duplicate-and-layer in Figma, and now I can't believe I spent two years clicking through menus like a sucker - anyone else got a shortcut they avoided that turned out to be a game changer?

Oh man, I actually READ a study about this exact thing! It said that slowing down on purpose can actually make you MORE productive in the long run because your brain has time to make better connections. But I totally get what you're saying about the boss thing. I think the real trick is finding that sweet spot where you're efficient enough to have free time but not so fast they pile on extra stuff. I saw someone describe it as "strategic inefficiency" and that really stuck with me. Like you're still working hard but you're pacing yourself so you don't burn out or get buried. It's honestly kind of smart if you think about it.

Why would you want to work faster?
You're just cramming more work into the same day. I tried all those fancy shortcuts once. Made me finish projects too quick. Then my boss just gave me more stuff to do.
Now I take the slow route on purpose. Gives me time to think. Plus it keeps expectations lower. Nobody bothers me when they think I'm busy clicking through menus.
