Vent: Adobe crashed on me mid-client presentation last Friday

Lost 2 hours of work when Illustrator froze right before a 3pm call with a brewery owner. Had to walk them through a napkin sketch instead. Anyone else have a tool fail at the worst possible moment?

Three beers into that brewery meeting, did the napkin sketch actually work out? Or did the owner start second-guessing your ability to deliver on time after that? I'm curious how much trust you lost by having to go analog in the middle of a sales pitch.

It usually works out fine since the napkin sketch is just a quick visual to get the idea across, not the final design. Owners are more worried about whether you understand their workflow than the quality of your penmanship on the spot. Really, it shows you can adapt without needing a laptop, which builds trust if anything.
