The time I stood in a hipster coffee shop for 15 minutes trying to figure out if the poster was for a band or a new flavor of cold brew

Their poster used this weird vintage circus font but with pastel colors and a blurry photo of a horse, and I swear the designer was just messing with us on purpose because the whole thing was completely unreadable until a barista told me it was for a poetry reading next Thursday, has anyone else run into a poster that just made you feel dumb for looking at it?

Yeah, "made you feel dumb for looking at it" is exactly right. My buddy Dave once spent a solid five minutes staring at a flyer in a laundromat that had this giant image of a melting clock and some tiny cursive script he couldn't read. He squinted, tilted his head, even pulled out his phone to zoom in on a picture he took. Finally he just gave up and asked the guy next to him, who shrugged and said it was probably for a "lost dog" but the dog was a cat. The whole thing was a joke for some art school project, I guess.

Oh man, that's hilarious. My friend Jen saw this weird poster downtown with a cartoon fish smoking a cigar and a phone number in the corner. She called it out of curiosity and it was just a recorded message of someone coughing for 30 seconds. Some art kid probably thought they were really clever with that one.
