Overheard a guy at Starbucks say he designs his whole week around his energy levels, not a to-do list
He was telling a friend he only plans creative work for mornings and saves afternoons for emails and errands. Has anyone tried organizing their schedule based on when they naturally focus best?

nah that guy's onto something real. i've been doing that for years without even realizing it. mornings are when my brain actually works for stuff that needs focus, but by 2pm i'm basically useless for anything except mindless tasks. trying to force creative work in the afternoon just leads to me staring at a screen and getting nothing done. it's way more efficient to just accept your brain has a schedule and work with it instead of fighting it. honestly most people would get more done if they stopped pretending they're productive 24/7.

bro i read this article a while back about circadian rhythms and how your brain literally shifts how it processes stuff throughout the day. it's not just in your head. apparently your prefrontal cortex (the part that does all the heavy lifting for focus and decisions) peaks in the morning for most people. trying to do that deep work later is like asking your brain to run a marathon at midnight. i totally feel you on the 2pm slump too. that's like the universal signal that your brain checked out for the day haha.
