Went all in on a minimalist wardrobe for 3 months and here's what really happened
I boxed up everything except 30 items back in January after reading about capsule wardrobes. By week 6 I was doing laundry twice as often because I had no backups for gym days or spills. Learned that a one-size-fits-all number like 30 pieces doesn't work when you have a job that needs different looks. Has anyone else hit that mismatch between the theory and your actual daily life?

The "one-size-fits-all number like 30 pieces" thing really got me. I tried a capsule wardrobe too and hit the exact same wall with laundry. I’d look at my clothes and realize I had nothing for a casual Friday at work plus a weekend hike, so I was washing the same three shirts every other day. It’s like the theory assumes you live in a clean bubble where nothing ever gets dirty or ripped. Solidarity on this one, it’s way more complicated in real life than the blogs make it seem.

Ha, right? It's like those blogs think we all live in a perfectly clean museum where no one ever sweats or spills coffee on a Tuesday.
