Heard a podcast where an ergonomics specialist said most desk setups are too high by at least 2 inches

That guy claimed 70% of people with wrist pain just need to drop their desk surface or raise their chair, so I measured mine last night and yep, my elbow angle was way off, has anyone else dealt with that after adjusting?

my elbow angle was way off" - yeah thats the thing nobody realizes until they actually measure. its like how people buy $2000 mattresses for back pain but their pillow is literally from 2015. our whole lives are just a series of mismatched angles. desk height, car seat distance from pedals, even how high your toilet paper roll is. i swear half the problems we have are just geometry failures we refuse to fix because it would mean admitting something is slightly wrong.

Right? "Mismatched angles" is the perfect way to put it. I had this cheap Ikea chair for years and could never figure out why my shoulders were always tight. Finally measured my armrest height against my desk and realized I was basically shrugging for 8 hours a day. Same with my rearview mirror - had it pointed at the sky for months before my buddy pointed out I was looking at the moon the whole time. We just accept stuff as normal until someone shows us the tape measure.
