My $40 cable sleeve took 3 hours to install and still looks bad

I spent a whole Sunday afternoon threading every dang wire through that mesh tube under my desk in Portland, and now the clamps keep sliding off every time I move my feet. Has anyone found a zip tie trick that actually holds those things in place, or should I just give up and hide everything behind a cheap panel?
