My cat decided my Wacom tablet was the perfect spot for a nap... mid-project

I was in the middle of tweaking a client's logo in my home office in Austin, and my cat Ginger just plopped down right on the Cintiq. The pressure from her paws sent the brush tool haywire, and I accidentally saved over a layer with 3 hours of vector work. Had to dig through the auto-backup folder and lost about 30 minutes of tweaks. Anyone else's pet sabotage their setup at the worst possible time?

Oh man, that layer save thing is brutal - I've been there before with my dog knocking my laptop off the sofa and corrupting a file. Did you manage to recover most of the stroke work from the auto-backup at least? My tabby has a weird obsession with sitting on my drawing tablet pen so I can't even grab it without a fight, it's like they know exactly when you're on a deadline.

Three times now my cat has walked across my keyboard and somehow hit the perfect combination of keys to close a program without saving. I swear they have a sixth sense for when you're finishing something important. The worst was a full afternoon of vector work in Inkscape, gone in half a second because my orange tabby decided my F keys were the most interesting thing in the room. Auto-backup recovered maybe 60% of it, but the stroke work was just a jumbled mess of disconnected lines. I had to redraw half the thing from memory while she sat on my mouse hand purring like nothing happened. Pets are basically tiny chaos agents with fur.
