My shaky DIY stand almost cost me a project

It made my screen bounce during presentations. Replacing it with a stable one was the best fix.

Yeah that shaky stand stuff is no joke lol. Been there trying to give a talk while my whole laptop was doing a little dance. Makes you look super unprofessional even if your work is solid. A wobbly base can make fonts jiggle on screen during a demo or cause a recorded video to stutter. Spending a bit on a proper, heavy stand just kills all that stress dead.

During a client meeting last spring, the wobble was so bad it made the laser pointer dance on the wall. That movement pulls eyes away from the content and onto the hardware, which totally breaks the flow. It's not just about looking professional, it's about keeping the audience focused on your message. A solid stand does more than stop the shake, it lets you forget the tech and just talk. I've seen good talks ruined by a cheap stand that no one thought to check before starting.

Watched my cursor bounce around like it was nervous during a demo, @graymiller. Pretty sure my confident nodding just made the whole shaky screen thing more obvious.
