My file naming system collapsed at 2AM and I'm rebuilding from scratch
Last Thursday I was prepping a client deck for a 9AM call and my whole folder was just 'final_v2_REALFINAL' nonsense. I spent 45 minutes hunting for the right PNG while my cat sat on my keyboard judging me. It hit me that I've been using the same messy system for 3 years and it only fails when I'm most stressed. Has anyone else tried a date-based naming setup like YYYYMMDD_project and actually stuck with it?

Totally been there, my files were just a graveyard of final_FINAL_v2 disasters.

Three versions deep and I still named one "final_actual_this_time_FORREAL.docx". My file explorer looks like a cry for help.
