I wasted $85 on a Figma plugin that barely worked
Saw this plugin called AutoLayout Pro that promised to fix all my spacing issues in one click. Paid $85 for the yearly license, used it once, and it just messed up my entire component set. Support never got back to me after 3 emails over two weeks. Has anyone else had bad luck with paid plugins that looked way better in the demo?

Does anybody else feel like software demos are basically just commercials now? I see this all the time with apps and plugins and even workout gear. The demo shows it working perfectly on some simple setup but as soon as you try it on real messy stuff it falls apart. $85 is a lot to drop on something that should just work out of the box. Reminds me of those infomercials where they show a guy slicing a tomato with one hand but then you buy it and it can barely cut bread. Hope you can get your money back or at least make enough noise about it so others don't get burned too.

I get what you're saying but I actually think demos are still useful for showing the basic workflow, just gotta take them with a grain of salt and test the trial version on your own data before buying.
