That one Friday where everything in Figma just clicked at 4pm

I swear I spent all week fighting autolayout and component variants. Then Friday afternoon, I had to rebuild a dashboard for a client in Portland and it took 2 hours instead of the 3 days I was expecting. No plugins, no new tricks, I just suddenly understood how nested frames behave. My spacing went from guesswork to actual math in my head. Has anyone else had a day where it all just lined up like that, or is it usually a slow grind for everyone?

Wait, I gotta push back on the spacing thing just a little. Autolayout spacing is still not real math, it's more like a consistent guess that finally lands right. Like, 8 and 16 and 24 feel great, but then you hit a 12 or a 20 and it's still a coin flip for me. I mean, I get what you're saying about the whole thing clicking, that Friday feeling is real and it's awesome. But don't give yourself too much credit for doing math in your head, because Figma still kinda does its own thing with padding and gap. It's more like you finally learned the rules of a weird game, not that the game got easier. Still, happy for you that the dashboard came together, those days are rare and worth remembering.
